If RT posted that, they would almost certainly get banned from the US the next day, and banned from most other Western countries as well. Even RT's relatively mild criticism of US policies and their broadcast of interviews with American dissidents is resulting in big pressure directed against them in the US. They are being accused of being tied to Russian intelligence, and broadcasting "conspiracy theories". They are as it is on the verge of being banned in Amerikkka. A Berkan interview would ensure that they get kicked out, and US-Russian relations would get very strained, perhaps revert to Cold War style confrontation. Don't underestimate the Amerikkka's empire hostile response to truthful information being broadcasted about the US from Russia--they will take action against us, in response. What we need is another news network, that would have no footprint in the US or the West and would simply translate into English highlights of Russian news broadcasts dealing with international issues. I am a firm believer that a Cold War style confrontation against the US is absolutely in Russia's interests, so I fully support aggressive investigative journalism to uncover the lies on which the US empire is built, but many in Russian gov't are much more cautious about angering the US (as if their hostile intentions against Russia aren't evident already)
But you have to understand that Channel 1 isn't some sort of specialized news outlet in Russia. 99% of Russian population have access to it--it is a mainstream public network--it's like the BBC or Channel 4 news in Britain, or CBS, ABC in the US and is directly controlled by the Kremlin and Russian gov't. Clearly the broadcasting of that interview prime time on Channel 1 (impossible without explicit Kremlin permission) is an indication of a move to a more hardlined policy viz-a-viz the US (this began after Russia felt let down by US not living up to the UN Security Council resolution on Libya, and US efforts to push for sanctions against Syria). Medvedev tough talk today about Russia's response to the US anti-missile defense shield, and his acknowledgement that the missile defense is directed at Russia, is another indication. As Russia increasingly goes into conflict mode against the US, you will likely see more videos like the Berkan interview being broadcasted to discredit the US in the eyes of the Russian public.
Russia to enhance strike potential if missile cooperation with NATO fails

Russia will boost its strike nuclear capabilities if NATO refuses to cooperate with Moscow in the European missile defense project, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Wednesday.
The United States refused to comply with a Russian request that it provide legally binding guarantees that its European missile defense system will not be directed at Russia.
"I hope we will be able to forge a missile defense cooperation model," Medvedev told around 800 journalists at a news conference at the Skolkovo School of Management near Moscow. "If we don't, we will have to take retaliatory measures, which we do not want to have to do. This will mean forcing the development of our strike nuclear potential."
"This would be a very bad scenario, which would take us back to the Cold War era," the president added.
Medvedev reiterated a warning issued by the Foreign Ministry that Moscow may pull out of the New START disarmament agreement, which entered into force this year, in response to the United State's position on the shield.
"It is clear that the missile defense shield is directed at blocking the strategic capabilities of certain states," Medvedev said. "I understand that other states mentioned do not have Russia's [nuclear] potential and are unlikely to receive them in the coming years...So, it is directed against us."
Russia and NATO agreed to cooperate on the so-called European missile shield during the NATO-Russia Council summit in Lisbon in November 2010. NATO insists there should be two independent systems that exchange information, while Russia favors a joint system.
