Sure, the main thing Jesus was sent by God for was to die for our sins,

Response to Obviously, you do NOT know what Jesus was sent by God for.

to get us saved, but as part of that God sent him also to fulfill the Law of Moses and the prophets. After all the Law of Moses was only for Israel, so it had to be fulfilled and we have received the New Covenant commandments instead. And the prophets testified of the coming Messiah, and their prophecies were fulfilled by Jesus coming. Lots of prophets predicted Jesus. So he came to fulfill the prophets, so not one prophet. The fulfilled prophecies are part of the proof that Jesus is really the Messiah, the Christ, the anointed one. Messiah and Christ means anointed. Messiah is from the Hebrew word for anoint, and Christ is from the Greek word for anoint. So when he was anointed, he became the Christ, our king.
