"Pope John XII was beaten to death in 963 by a frenzied husband who found the pontiff making love to his wife."
"The Marquis de Sade's mother was a nun. He was notorious for his sexual perversions and cruelty, from which the term sadism is derived."
"Cesare Borgia(1475-1507) was the unscrupulous son of Pope Alexander VI"
"Until 1890, castration kept the Vatican's choirboys singing sweetly."

"The Inquisitions shouldn't necessarily be condemned, argues Roman Catholic theologian Georges Cottier. Rather, its historical context should be reviewed before saying "that such and such an act should not have been committed," he said. Cottier will chair a symposium at the Vatican this fall to examine the Roman, Spanish and Middle Age Inquisitions in order to provide the Pope "with enough information to see if there is a need to apologize" for such acts as torture or the burning of Protestants at the stake."
it has become a WHORE & CRIMINAL!!
as prophecised..
Revelation 17
1 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits on many waters.
2 With her the kings of the earth committed adultery and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries."
3 Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a desert. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns.
4 The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries.
5 This title was written on her forehead: MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
6 I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. When I saw her, I was greatly astonished.
(about the true church)
Ephesians 5:26,27
"and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless"
yes they sinned...but they admitted, thus they were forgiven for the time being ..

"When your people Israel have been defeated by an enemy because they have sinned against you and when they turn back and confess your name, praying and making supplication before you in this temple,
then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your people Israel and bring them back to the land you gave to them and their fathers"

On Sunday, March 12, 2000 Pope John Paul II made a unique and historic "request for pardon" for the sins and errors of Christians both throughout the centuries and in the present. The Holy Father saw this as the culmination of the Church’s "examination of conscience" for the Jubilee Year. The goal of such a public act of repentance is a "purification of memory."
JP2 in his Apostolic Letter Tertio millennio adveniente said that the Jubilee Year should be the occasion for a purification of the memory of the Church from all forms of "errors and instances of infidelity, inconsistency and slowness to act" in the past millenium. At the same time, the responsibility of Christians for the evils that exist within our own time must be acknowledged as well.
(truthfinder) HAVE YOU HEARD OF A POPE ASKED FOR FORGIVENESS FOR ALL THE IMMORAL ACTS DONE BY ANY ONE OF THEM?? IS THE PRESENT POPE PUBLICLY ADMITTED SUCH ACTS & ASKED FOR GOD'S FORGIVENESS??
My answer is Yes I have heard a POPE asked for forgiveness. Yes the present POPE admitted it in public, he even asked for pardon for mistakes committed in the past .
Don't revise your question MY FRIEND.
By the way forgive me but you don't sound like the real truthfinder, you sound like someone in the past who is hiding from me, my apologies if I am wrong.
i cannot join a church doing the most heinous of all
acts at the very top level...the PAPACY..
and yet never considered the gravity of these acts..
here is what you should do..like Israel..
Jonah 3
7
Then he issued a proclamation in Nineveh: "By the decree of the king and his nobles: Do not let any man or beast, herd or flock, taste anything; do not let them eat or drink.
8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth. Let everyone call urgently on God.Let them give up their evil ways and their violence.
9 Who knows? God may yet relent and with compassion turn from his fierce anger so that we will not perish."
you haven't even done close to that..
still too late..what happens to israel also happened to the 1st century church..
THE history of the papacy reveals that at least three Popes resigned from their exalted office. One was Peter of Morone who became Pope Celestine V on July 5, 1294 at the age of eighty. Before he was elected Pope, he had spent sixty-eight years of his life as a simple monk and as a hermit, mortifying himself in imitation of the harsh asceticism of his model, St. John the Baptist.
Celestine V was a holy and humble man, but unfortunately these virtues do not in themselves constitute the requirements of church leadership. Celestine V was not only innocent in wickedness but ignorant of its forms and devices. Charles II, the wily French King of Naples, was quick to prey on the Pope's weakness. Soon, the wishes of Charles became papal proclamations. Favors were lavished on those who held the King's good will. During the five months that he was Pope, Celestine V had created problems that would plague his successors for two centuries. This proves that the price paid for administrative irresponsibility is very high indeed; more tragic still, it is the later leaders who usually pay for this.
To his credit, when he realized how great a calamity threatened the Church because of his ineptitude, Celestine V surrendered the papal insignia into the hands of the Cardinals, descended the papal throne, and announced that he would resign "because of my great age and infirmities, my inexperience and ignorance of world affairs". His resignation took effect on December 13, 1294.
Celestine V was the first to issue a declaration on the right of the Pope to resign his office. In the same document, he wrote: "I, Celestine V, motivated by legitimate reasons. . . freely resign the papacy and expressly renounce its station and dignity, burden and honor. From this moment I yield to the sacred College of Cardinals the full and free authority of electing and canonically providing a Pope for the universal Church."
The story of two other Popes who resigned is even more unpleasant. Benedict IX was elected Pope on the strength of his relationship with the powerful Tusculan family in Rome. Benedict IX was said to be only a teenager when he assumed his office in 1032. The series of misconduct and foolishness which he inflicted on Rome gave the citizens enough reason to revolt. The Romans drove him away and, at the instigation of the Crescentii family (who opposed the Tusculans), declared a new Pope who took the name Sylvester III. But Benedict IX showed his enemies he was not elected Pope for nothing. He sold his office to John Gratian, a Roman priest who was so appalled and shocked by the misdeeds of Benedict IX that he resorted to money to remove him. After receiving payment, Benedict IX resigned, and John Gratian assumed the papacy taking the name Gregory VI. A problematic situation ensued where three Popes, each with his own supporters, held court in different parts of Rome. The intervention of the German Emperor, Henry III, brought a semblance of order to the papacy. In a Synod called for the purpose, Sylvester III was deposed and sent to a monastery. Gregory VI, gracefully admitting his "shameful" consecration as Pope, resigned from office after issuing a decree proclaiming the invalidity of his election.
Those dark pages in the history of the papacy reminds us of the fact, too often overlooked, that the Pope is a human being whose exalted position does not exempt him from the vagaries of human nature. An honest view of the papacy brings us to the conclusion that only Christ's abiding presence accounts for the survival of his Church. No Pope, however, holy, powerful or influential, is indispensable.
