What I mean is, with issue #112, perhaps we'll just let Marz destroy the GL fan base by himself! This issue was so bad (art was below par, story was ludicris, to many loose ends were tied up all to conveintly, ect,....) but even the Kyle backers were shocked and even began thinking about dropping this book! Hurray! Maybe if we jon forces with the KB's, we can stop arguing who is cooler, Hal or Kyle, and flush out the real cause of the problem, Marz and Dooley!!! Sure, the stories may be enteraining on the surface, but they are determined to toss away ANYTHING remotely interesting in the GL mythos. I almost wish we had the multi Earths again, (Earth 1 and Earth 2 ect) as perhaps we would still have Hal around, perhaps living on Earth 2 or something. I guess with Hypertime, we kinda do, but weather they will use that is probably not up for grabs.
Anyhow, if we can get Marz out of the seat (sooner or later, he will fizzel out, writers cannot write a character forever!) and get someone in that can bring something new to Kyle without destroying EVERYTHING related to Hal, then that is what it will take!
Because, DC is gonna probably make some good money of of GL Month next month. I do admit the end of this one was really stupid. If anything was to happen, John should have been made a super hero again...or at least have powers. The fact that they would just get rid of them was pointless. I have usually only had a few problems with Marz in the past. (I don't hate Hal, but I did enjoy the story and character of Paralax) Such as the piece of shit issue 90 where Kyle saved his alcoholic friends life as Green Lantern and that changed his life. Or the round table discussion on racism that was the Green Lantern issue of the last GL/GA crossover. And the depower of Alan Scott which was pointless and had no real explaination. Ok, maybe I have a few more problems than I thought...who knows though. I didn't care for Jade as GL though, because it makes no sense when she's talking about being so inexperienced when the ring is exactly like her old powers and she was a super hero long before Kyle was around. Her stint as GL of Earth was too short to develop, Kyle's journey to space was pointless, the inclusion of the 2nd ring as a result of Emerald Knights was pointless, bringing back Fatality was pointless, all those annoying segments about the new villian on the block are pointless, so more or less, everything is pointless. Now you've made me think about it, and my head hurts. Oh well, I'll wait...and watch and see if things get better, or I'll just read JLA and Brave and the Bold for some better writing :)
