Hey, Jim, might we see this show up as available at the Mall of Oa for us poor slobs who don't have a WB store nearby?

It just might....

March 16 2000, 2:02 PM

Yeah I was considering adding the item once I actually find them. I checked my local WB store and they don't have them yet. I'll give it another week, but I'll let you all know when Mall of Oa get's them in.

Ah, I thought you found one too..

March 16 2000, 3:19 PM

Then I realized you were quoting the same message I saw up on the RTM boards, I think. I went to my store today too and found nothing. THey even sold out of the dc 9" Hals at my store. And that was at regular price. I'm not sure what this new Hal fig is supposed to be? A statue from what I assume. Cause I don't recall a Batman Beyond or RObin done in the huge plastic figures only as statues. But then, I could've missed them before. Oh well, time to hunt it down...I just sure hope its true.

I found the Hal 12" figure today at WB Store. Really cool. Much better looking than that lame 12" Kyle one. Put that one in the closet!

Hey Tomkat maybe you should look for some more discolored ones to add to your bizzar collection. They might be worth something someday.

Just seeing if you were still reading the boards. Good to know we didn't loose anyone.

Still Reading

But not writing - nothing too interesting to comment about. Unless anybody wants to know of a GL sighting I had (but it's of an adult nature, so might be sensitive to some)

Hey Tomkat

Go for it. If it's good, we can send it to Penthouse Letters. Or Wizard.

That would be just our luck. The next Hal Jordan sighting in a three page penthouse spread. I hope he keeps his ring on.

Not Penthouse Material

March 22 2000, 6:27 PM

Unfortunately my story isn't Penthouse Letters material. If I had a sex life like those people write about, I wouldn't have time to be reading this board, would I? Anyway, I'm not proud to say I spend a great deal of time watching porn. In fact, my internet porn budget tops out at about $200/month. But personal confessions aside, I was watching a porn video and the male "actor" was wearing a Green Lantern t-shirt. I hadn't seen this particular shirt before. It was either black or a very dark green and on the front was the GL lantern symbol. On the back was the "In brighest day, in darkest night.." slogan. Well of course when the action got down and dirty the guy's pants were off, but he never removed that GL t-shirt. During a substantial part of the video, you see a shot from behind the guy, who is copulating with the female star. The funny part is that you get a close up, which includes this guys ass, and as he is (ahem) "pumping" up and down the bottom of his t-shirt keeps coming in and out of the picture, so with every stroke you see the words "Green Lantern's Light" (upstroke) "Green Lantern's Light" (upstroke) "Green Lantern's Light" etc....

Pathetic, Yeah. But that's my life.

GL: Everyman

You make me want to wash all my GL t-shirts again. In concentrate detergent.

Still, GL has now apparently covered the 3 F's of basic human behaviour:

1) Fighting
2) Fleeing
3) Copulating

I can see it now Hal Jordon doing a public service announcement for condoms. Can't you just see him saying "Hey kids before you do your thing put a green ring on your ding-a-ling"

Also available in crime fighter yellow

I'm confused...

March 27 2000, 8:39 AM

I went and picked up the WB GL, and he looks really awesome. Maybe I just misunderstood, or caught a bad rumor, but is there supposed to be a resin figure similar to Robin, Catwoman, and Batman Beyond? Those guys cost around $45.

Eventually!

The resin statue isn't out...yet! Give it till the end of the year and it should show up! (so I hear from the WB guy I talked to)

I'll keep my eyes peeled for it and for the mini Hal statue reproduction. Man, there's just too much GL stuff all of a sudden!

Yeah, isn't it cool..

March 27 2000, 2:39 PM

After all those years of nothing but Hasbro's Super Powers GL and Toybiz's GL, it took the death of Hal before all these Hal figs and merchandise start to pop up. Man, crappy way to get the figs of your hero, but oh well, at least my GL collection is growing now. By the way, on that 13" WB GL, is that joint between the boot and knee moveable? One of the wrists on mine was kinda stiff but I got it moving after awhile. The ones on the shins didn't but I don't want to force it in case I'm wrong.

His hands rotate!?!?!?

March 27 2000, 3:45 PM

I hadn't even tried that! I sorta tried to twist a boot, but like you said, it doesn't budge. I'll have to look at mine closer to see if his wrists turn.

Well, actually, it's more like he rotates near the forearm..

March 27 2000, 10:31 PM

rather than at the wrists. But it does rotate although it felt like I had to break mine to get the left forearm to rotate in the beginning.

rotating legs

March 28 2000, 12:16 AM

Nope, sorry, the leg/shin joints do NOT rotate, so don't mess yours up by trying. This is one very cool figure, best in a long time, and blows that hideous 12" Kyle fig out of the water!
