Hey, Lord Mal..do you know which issues of Action Comics Weekly featured GL?April 24 2000 at 8:28 AM | The Slayer from IP address 63.253.226.75 |
| I'm looking into buying some issues but not quite sure which had GL in them. Did they all have Hal in them or just certain issues? |

The issues 601-635 all had Hal in them. What I did (and makes a great rainy day project) is took all of those issues and with a paper cutter or X-acto blade, cut out all the GL stories. Be careful to save 5 of the covers that features Hal on it (remove staples first). (#'s 602, 608, 614, 626, & 634).
Now, simply staple in groups of 8 (8 pages each) into each of the five covers. This will give you five books with 8 stories roughly in each. The most important part of this project is to burn the other stories as they were so bad, it will hurt your eyes. (Wild Dog comes to mind). I also numbered the books 1-5 with rub on numbers. This project will save an enormous amount of room (you just condensed 34 48page books into 5!) and help weed out all that other junk for these GL stories! Wal-la! Instant TPB! |

Didn't know all of them had GL stories in them. I can tell that guy in the hockey mask is just gonna be hard just to look at. Man, that's gonna cost a bit more than I thought. Well, at least it's better than paying $7000 for an All AMerican #16 which was the first Alan Scott appearance on Ebay. Those must be some really die hard Alan fans. |

I got to finish the Malvolio story so was wondering if it continued on as the letter column in #635 didn't seem to mention there being a GL story in the next one. |

...there is an issue of Action Comics Weekly later on (can't recall the issue number as I didn't get it, maybe #642 or so) about a silly retcon of Abin Sur crash landing on Earth, telling the ring to search out a suitable person and returning with: Clark Kent!!! It goes on to explain since he is Kryptonian, he doesn't qualify or some such marlarkey and Clark 'reccommends' his old pal Hal Jordan.
The premise sounds so bad, I passed on it, but may pick it up just to be complete once I figure out what issue it is again.
Also, I feel the Lord Malvolio stories are the ONLY ones worth reading. Not becuse he is my name sake, but they just are really done well, IMHO. The others (SS killing Katma, Hal appearing on Ophra, fighting Capt. Atom, ect. were lame) |
