I am at the point now with my disability that at least some work at home would ease my stress level.

I have 25 years as a nurse and ten years as a teacher.

I am considering technical writing or coding . Also, can these be learned on the compuuter or would I need school??

Have you called the local vo-tech schools to see if they offer the classes you seek?
Your area community colleges may offer classes you could take as a "non-degree seeking student".
My wife has suggested that once I retire from my current job (not in the medical field although I have all the pre-reqs for nursing school with a 3.692 GPA) I should get my LPN and "read charts" for insurance companys.
I wish I could speak from experience as I desire to be a LPN/RN when I retire from my current job.
These were just suggestions that I hope will help.

Thank you for your response. Its me, I forgot my password and ended up with a new name and account.
I have noticed you always have encouragement for all who post and I am impressed by your faithfullness.
I have not looked too much more into home employment yet; too busy. Your advice is good and I may take a coding course after the holidays.
With YOPD its a crap shot. Some days I barely know I have it and others I am very painfull and stiff.

Hope to hear other nurses who have had to leave the clinical to work from home.
Advice, storys ect.
