I just need some support guys and gals. I am in the home stretch of my LPN to BSN program, and It feels like every assignment I turn in is put under a microscope and given back as "not good enough".Oddly, I compare assignments with others in my class,(we are all adult students)and mine does not siffer greatly from thiers. It does seem that this did not go on until the teacher found out I was diagnosed with adult ADD.I have a hard time gathering my thoughts, but I am a good nurse.I am almost ready to give up.

May I suggest drawing up an outline instead of jumping in it with both feet right at the onset. Sometimes the frustration caused by the "bull in the china shop" approach can subdue creativity and flow. The outline might look like this:
INTRODUCTION-gives a brief overview of the topic and purpose. This is the "TELL THEM WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO TELL THEM" portion of your paper.
BODY-contains the core of the subject matter. This section can have a flow starting with simple and building up in a "stepping stone" manner to complex. This is the "TELL THEM" portion of your paper.
CONCLUSION-this section reflects back upon the previous two sections and serves to bolster the assertion your paper wants to make. This is the "TELL THEM WHAT YOU TOLD THEM" portion of your paper.
When writing this outline and/or the paper itself, allow yourself frequent breaks to get completely away from it, then return some time later to add, delete or contribute.
This is just a suggestion that has worked for me when writing papers and especially when giving presentations. Hope it works for you. Good Luck.

I am also in a BSN program and graduate in May. I have had diagnosed ADD and a learning disability for over 10 years. I too am an adult learner..... My thoughts are to look into your college programs that help individuals with disabilities. They offer accomidations that may smooth the path and level the playing field and they may have individuals that can help you with your writing.
Best of luck from one that is there!!!!! hang in there!!!!
