Need help with legal process

After a 2+ year ago injury at work I have hired a lawyer and need help with the process of forming a strong case based on other injury cases where a nurse won her rights from disability discrimination from the employer. My employer has an extremely vague termination policy in effect that if after not working for 26 weeks, the employee can be terminated.

I was so terminated and was also stopped from receiving worker comp. I have been without income since last year and want to receive advice from some who have been through this system.

I have filed a lawsuit against the hospital and this month their lawyer has sent a 32 question Discovery letter that has me so overwhelmed (and MAD!) I feel, "WHERE ARE MY RIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!"

Please help.

If you have an attorney, your former employer should be addressing their communication to the attorney and not you.
I am assumimg you have sought the services of the best labor/worker comp attorney in your area?
Do not complete that questionaire.
Do not speak to any of those people either in person or on the phone.
Be aware of your surroundings. The opposing side has been known to hire private investigators to follow and photograph you or persons that look like you to use against you in court.
I'm not a nurse or an attorney. My thoughts are based on personal experiences, however vicarious, and are just suggestions.
A reasonable person could easily assume that if they stopped your w/c then they are, in essence, saying you're physically qualified to work in some capacity and should accomadate you with "light duty" or other work within your scope.
I think a good attorney would have a buffet with this one.
Good Luck.
