I am an Diploma RN with 25 yrs plus ER trauma experience. Recently worked in the geriatric field and became grossly disallussioned and discusted with the corporate greed.

I have a chronic pain issue for which my pain syndrome is successfully treated with methadone. How do I get a job despite legally prescribed this med nobody will hire a nurse with opiates in their urine. What do I do? I am a very skilled highly trained nurse in order to work I must cheat the urine test. I am willing to listen to any advise, thank you, MG

I havve been in insurance work for about 15 years...utilization/disability/disease management..with all of your experience u could master any of these jobs..work wih several nurses on opiod meds for chronic pain..never seems to be an issue. Disease management is probably the easiest to master. good luck to you
