i'm swapping my 69 mustang over to a 385 from a fe.i want to run it in either hot street or limited street ,so there are rules on engine set back and stock front suspension ,stock firewall and tire size .beside the obvious do you think that raising the motor and trans up in the engine compartment would be of any advantage as far as center of gravity, weight percentages and the like .right now it is 56% front weight and the instant center is 59 inches from rear axle c/l and 13 inches from the ground.raising it up 2 or 3 inches would help out on the shock tower and header clearance ,but what do you think it will do to the instant center .i can move the motor back to the firewall (just cant touch it )which will be about 1 3/4 inches .plus moving the motor up may allow me to put a rack on the front (which is allowed).thanks alot ron
