Don't know if you guys have seen the latest, but Eric Simone (of Shotgun-hemiparts/Diamond Pistons) is in first place with his TM Enterprises Boss headed entry. I'm really pulling for him.

High score and current leader is Team 17, Performance Crankshaft with 2592 points. It's my understanding that this is the BES engine that was runner up last year, which has been upgraded with a roller cam, and another point of compression.

Entering somebody else's engine? Lame.

Jon Kaase (Team Almost Kaase) just took 1st place with the CHI-headed small block entry; his Team Kaase Racing Engines big block entry has yet to run.

I haven't been following the contest closely, but what does Carl mean?  I thought the whole idea of the contest was to run an engine that you built, not someone else's motor???  If that is the case, does that mean I can buy one of Kaase's motor and enter it?  Doesn't sound like it is an Engine Master's Contest, more like an Engine Buyer's Contest.  That is BS.
