Hi,
I have a "cheap" Seiko 5 (which uses the same movement as your Seiko Diver SKX173 - caliber 7S26) bought 4 months ago. Initially it gained +20s / day, no matter the positions. Today, it has settled at +10s / day.
Moral of the story: Just wear your watch daily and wait for it to break in. TQ.
