Response to Do you still remember yourself as a newbie/rookie?

Hehehe. Before I took up this wonderfully exhilirating sport/hobby, I did some internet research and came across filairsoft.com. I joined their forum and posted a topic about my being a newbie. Then this guy name Boyscout gave me some pointers. Before long, we were able to talk on the phone for long. So the first airsoft guy I met was actually Obet and I learned from him the wonders of ASG. I got interested. But before I joined up, I had to try out the game w/ a borrowed gun at Quench. After that short but interesting game, my heart was committed to airsoft and w/in a week I bought my beloved Stoner.

My first serious airsoft game w/ my own gun was at Family Park. I got there and was introduced to some people, some of which were old time ASG guys like Viper. My mindset was that of a grunt, I get my orders from these guys cause they're the veterans of this game. So off I went and hid in the jungles as the defending team. While lying prone, I heard faint noises and realized the enemy was approaching. My heartrate increased and finally saw my "prey" moving slowly and silently through the jungle. I was impressed at the moves that I didnt fire a shot. I waited until they were near and then the rear guard of the 2 man team saw my rifle barrel and started to aim at me. Before he could fire, I fired a short burst at the lead man. Then I felt a sudden pain on my left torso and shouted "hit" as instructed. I was sure I had hit the first man cause it was no more than 7ft. But I guess I didn't aim well because I might have been crosseyed that time

I can't remember anymore my first kill. Not because they are numerous LOL w/c is not the case but because I'm not too conscious about kills. I usually assess myself based on how I react tactically to a situation.

I've learned a lot since that first time thanks to some of the people (ASG and non-ASG) that I've met along the way.
