Don't be hard on yourself. You can only do your best and your kids will always have their own set of problems.
(I don't think this is the sort of tip you meant, what about this one:
tinned mackeral with tomato sauce has no bones and makes a nutritious convenience baby food!)

My health visitor pointed out to me that it's the person who goes out to work who has it easiest!
I spent a lot of time protecting my husband from the rigours of coping with a baby : he should get his sleep, he should come home from work and see serenity, tidiness, a good cooked meal and a sleeping baby.
Lucky chap! No more!!! He had to take a good half share from then on. I had to become hard-hearted Hannah and I'm not sure it did him any good but it saved me breaking under the strain.

Too true Jan. We are a recently formed family (I brought the kids in) and we did a bit of role reversal for a while. I went out to work and hubby did the biz at home. It was tiring doing the travel to work but so much easier than running the home and the kids. Especially as hubby ran around me doing the usual wifey things, but then he is trying to make up for not being around for the first few years!
Good for you for not protecting your other half any more. This is such a big job and has to be shared.
