I agree with the comments that the 'CMP Market' is in deed limited to a fairly hardy set of folk that follow the breed. I also agree that in general terms a good or rare example should always sell better, and probably will, if someone within the 'breed' sees it as worthy of restoration or something they have always wanted.
It may be just my age however but I feel the majority of newer generation of military vehicle 'enthusiast' generally falls towards something American (even French things that pass as war-time) and have limited interest in either Canadian or even British 1939-45 vehicles. They also appear reluctant to travel to see anything not within a 100 mile radius of where they live and have this belief they are slow, always breaking down, and spares a nightmare. Slow by modern standards maybe, but they are reliable if maintained and mechanical spares are easier to find that the average ten year old car!
On that basis I wonder what sort of response I will get when deciding to part with my C8A ambulance, probably after 2004, but I may be tempted if you just happen to have a Canadian contract slat grilled jeep lying around!?
