Are those the actual Obedience classes, or are they some type of title once your Akita has graduated classes? And are they geared specifically toward Akitas? I would like to find a training class in Ohio geared towards Akitas or at least with a trainer who knows Akitas, I know our girl is very smart (house-broken in one day at 10 weeks old!) but I have read that Akitas learn differently than a retriever or that type of dog. By the way this is the best Akita-info forum I have found on the web! In fact, the only one with any posts in the last year!! Yay!
