I have a 8 1/2 year old akita that has been more than a son to me. He went from perfect to sick in a matter of hours, and the vets aren't sure what's wrong with him. His retina has become detached and he has lost vision in his right eye. His blood work is coming back with problems, and the vets seem to think he may have a form of Ehrlichia, but so far they have found no titers. They don't think it's VKH becuase the other eye is perfectly fine.
Any help would be appreciated...he is the love of my life, and my best friend.
