I agree with Kathy

When I brought my new female akita pup home, my existing male akita was very upset. Of course there is going to be jealousy. Your dog was used to being the only one getting your attention. I had to bring both dogs to neutral ground on leash. My male tried to lunge at the new pup, and if they were in the home, unleashed, I am sure there would have been an injury, to say the least. Sometimes introductions need to be slow. I would try putting the pup in the crate and allowing the other dog to "check it out". I would give correction to the other dog at the first sign of aggression. Reward your dog when he is not acting aggresive toward the pup. I know it can be very discouraging, and I am sure you feel guilty that you put the pup in a situation like this, and also that you have upset your existing dog. Don't you worry, with some work, and extra lovin's for the existing dog, I am sure it will work out. Now my two akitas cannot be seperated. They are attached at the hip and the best of friends. Finding a home for your new pup will be a thought of the past.
