I have a 3yr old Akita call Keiko who is l/haired. When we got her the breeder told us she was regular coated. You can view a picture of her on Lapema's website (this photo was taken at 7 weeks). She also appeared black & white, her colouring has changed considerably. If you want to see pics of her at various ages let me know. I think it is very hard to tell at an early stage. A friend who owns regular coated dogs told me when she was 4 months that he thought she was a fluffy variety. Tell me what you think.
