LONG HAIRED akitas and what ya'll know about them ????

Hi I'm Tiffany i live in Colorado Springs ... 2 years ago my family ( parents & little bro) bought our firstakita. shes white with pinto markings beautiful. i remember picking her from her litter. shes straight haired. well all of our immediate family and friends had a fitover her because not too many of them have heard of the akits breed. so after 2 years my parents decided to buy a male akita because we thought we might wantt o have a litter for family and close friends. we found an akc breeder close and went to look at the litter. and we fell in love with the runt , which seemed to be "fluffier" than the rest. but the lady told us that he only had 3 toes on one of his paws and we didnt really care. so we bought him . and 2 weeks after i went on a long 3 month vacation to NC and when i came back was this looking full grown long haired akita hes beautiful but i could not find any info on long haired akitas through the internet , except for this site. so if any one ahs any helpful info on them im pretty curious. ive been told that they are not alowwed to be used for show dogs and i dont understand. but thanks every one ...
