my one year old male recently started growling at me for no reason. i walk near him to go into another room and his ears lower and he begins to growl. he usually never does that. the first time was about a month ago i got him a large sized cow bone. it seems that the "real" bone made him territorial towards me as if i was going to steal it from him. he never does it with the raw hide and i can take it from him while hes chewing it and he pays me no mind. so i took it away from him and that was the end of it. he recently started his shedding and i occassionally pull the loose hair that just hangs from him and he would sometimes give me the " hey i'm not in the mood" type growl. but now he just grows even when i pet his head. he isnt being aggressive because he lowers his head and ears and his back legs begin shaking. he even bit me for the first time when i touched him near his face to clean away eye mucous. i recently moved into a new house about 3 months ago and he loves to sit in front of the house and bark at the occasional dog walkers. could him sitting in front of the house bring out this? any suggestions other than never petting him again?
