I just recently got a 2 yr old female akita from the humane society. I was told she was great with cats, but every time she sees my cats she starts barking and chases after them. I don't know if she wants to kill them or if she just wants to play with them. she is a very and i mean very hyper dog. so how can i tell if she wants to play or kill my cats? she gets along fine with my dog, but my cats are scared to death.i've only had her a week, and i don't want to have to take her back, i just don't know what to do any help you could give would be greatly appreciated
