yeah, once when my akita was a little under a year old, we got snowed in and i had to walk to the store, forgetting i had left an entire box of chocolates in the house where he could reach them (which is pretty much anywhere!)when i came in, there was nothing left but a bunch of candy wrappers, and one very content doggie. i was worried to death all day, because i was just positive he was going to become violently ill (and, i was snowed in with no chance of getting him to the vet)...he never even got an upset stomach from it! crazy pooch
