HELP - Akita Limping

by Anna

Hi Katherine,

Thank you for your response.

I was referred to a specialist (osteo surgeon). The vet took 2 more x-rays and did a fluid tap. The vet still didn't see any injury and/or anything wrong with my akita's prior TPLO surgery. So, she's referring the x-ray to a radiologist for 2nd opinion. However, the vet did mention that based on the way my dog is limping (because how he responded to certain movement - knee and hip), she gave the worst scenario which is...either bone or soft tissue cancer. ...If the x-ray and the fluid tap come back negative, I'll have to do MRI or CAT on my dog to see if it's soft tissue cancer.

The vet put my baby on Rimadyl and another stronger pain killer for now.

I don't know. I am very worried.

Anna
