Pls advice dear Akita owners and Leader of the packs :)

Do you know the feeling, when u have a problem in your car and bring it to service thn u realize that the sounds and problem is no longer avaliable. Yeah now that's my feeling... After I posted my question I saw Alicia's post about her Akitas and about her pregnancy (hope u have no problem and a beautiful baby Alicia )
I got a point of view now but I still need your opinions about this situation also.
The problem is I read LOTS and LOTS of "Akita agression", "Akita vs. Strangers", "Akita vs. In-laws", "Akita vs. me" posts and warnings that shivers me... We want to have a noble, handsome, barks only if there is a reason to bark, agile and intelligent dog, but not a Hell-raiser... Now I'am just this much to convince myself (too tiny I can say) that we decided to have a wrong breed
Am I wrong folks ? We really want to have an Akita but are we about to have a problem for 12-14 years of time or, a brother, son, friend for 12-14 years of time ???
