My first question, of course, is how old are the dogs. I have owned 6 Akita's, and when the "Puppy" grows up, there is a fight for the leader of the pack. Which, you know from owing an Akita, is you, or your husband.
It really doesn't matter who is the leader, you don't want to try to break them up during a fight. They are intent on one thing, ownership of the manor. We had to seperate the two dogs 24/7, but it worked for us. I spent time with each dog, but outside, away from the other. No, they never where friends again, we just learned a new Akita trait.
