Akita's love snow. When mine first got a taste of snow and realized how cold and wet it was he couldn't wait to get out in it and roll around and play. He stays pretty hot all the time so snow is perfect for him to cool off in. I haven't noticed even the slightest bit of frost bite or any harmful effects caused by snow.
