My 9 1/2 year old male akita has blood in his urine...most pronounced at the very end of his stream ( when he is about empty)....he also seems to have difficulty going. Vet put him on anitbiotics for a month but he still has the prob...Now they want to put him under and take x-rays and ultrasounds to determine if its prostate or bladder prob (stones). He is not neutered and I am worried about the danger associated with putting a dog of this age under anesthesia, yet i realize this prob must be addressed. He does appear to be uncomfortable from time to time. Am i doing the right thing?....Is this the next logical step? |
