Resurfaced Loss

Sometimes, I can still feel you,
Walking next to me, your hand in mine;
And I hope that you know
I'm thinking of you all the time.

These simple tears could never
Relinquish what I've yet to bear;
For like a bell, your voice
Still echoes in the breathless air.

And I have walked among them,
Standing tall for you, and strong for me;
But on this night, I am now
Missing what I cannot see.

Hair of sugar, brown and sweet,
With hands of softest silk,
Eyes of ocean's depths,
And skin fairer than purest milk.

But you are not completely gone,
What you've said still holds true;
And I hope you won't forget
All I hope I've taught you

Of your beauty, and gentleness,
They'll never be replaced;
But for now, I long to place
One last kiss on your warm, soft face.

~~For My Princess, forever, in my heart~~

I appreciate that. I may have given the wrong impression. Don't worry, this person I'm writing for isn't dead. She's just far away now and we separated as a result of it, and this came into my head last night, months after she and I agreed to separate. I didn't want to turn into the pathetic ex-boyfriend, but it looks like I am. doh. Thanks again and take care!
