The Power of your Beams

Like sunrise
you came into my life
and whispered poetry in my ear
heated my heart
teased my skin
and left me glowing.
Like sunset
you walked out of my life
raped me of your music
frosted my heart
withered my skin
and left me dying.

I like the poem. It is short and sweet. The poem creates the intended impact with a minimalist approach.
