Need schematic for monitor repair. Surprised at how difficult it has been to find this schematic. Would appreciate it greatly if someone could provide, thank you.

Monitor: Viewsonic G810-2M (21VS on chassis - 21")

Problem: "Snapping" sound, accompanied by screen flicker (rapid in-out resize), and then degauss. Eventually, snapping sound at powerup, 3 or 4 times (sometimes more) before screen came up. Finally, no screen comes up at all at powerup, green power light switches to orange (powerdown mode), no more snapping.

But from your fault description it is almost certainly the FBT that has failed.

Most of these Viewsonics are made by panasonic. Look for a chassis number on the pc boards that starts with HV plus a couple numbers. The G810-1 is an HV8 chassis and a Panasonic model Tx-d2162 uses the same chassis. Problem is likely the Flyback and if it is a panasonic the part number on the FBT should be available from any panasonic distributor.

I am having the same problem with my g810 that I just bought (on ebay) to replace another viewsonic that died. Any chance I could get help on replacing the FBT? I'm fairly new to this, but I do have some electronics experience.
