ViewSonic 21PS

I have a Viewsonic 21ps (model 2182ps). The monitor started acting flakey a while ago, but now it won't power on at all. First, after it went into power saving mode, the computer couldn't reactivate it. I had to cycle the power switch. Finally, it will not power on at all. The power-on LED flashes briefly when the power switch is cycled from off to on. I believe it has something to do with the sync detection circuits or the high-voltage section. If anyone can point me in the direction of getting a service manual, that would be great. Any other thoughts on this matter would also be appreciated.

I'm very disappointed that ViewSonic doesn't even have .PDF file of their service manuals available for legacy models. Monitor reliability needs to be improved.

I have a 21ps that did the same thing, and it was a capacitor (I believe it was C839) had leaked and burned a trace causing it to display the same symptoms. I have a schematic for it if you need it. Hope this helps.
