or know what can be wrong - monitor had signal cable ripped off (arrived retrived by police)
after replacing signal calbe there is NO SIGNAL message when unconnected, and it stays there
when connected it tryes to come up, but it go to standby, they powers up with NO SIGNAL and again to std by

pinout of P501/schematics for A1770 (not C, not B) would be much appreciated

Hi did you reconnect all the cables or only some.

If only some check for the cable that used to go to pin 5 this needs to be to gnd on some monitors.

Thanks Richard, but this is not my problem, i'm only helping out...
two wires are left unconnected - pin 1 of p501 (labeled PLUG), and pin7 of p501 (+4.75V DC) when this person connects ground to this pin hv stays down, when unconnected, or connected to ID0 or ID2 pin monitor turns on with no signal message, goes to suspend, wakes up, and so on
i think there may be some tracks broken, but since i cannot check it, my only hope is schematics
this person is rather capable and knowlegable service man, so he probably already check that
anyway... now i need this schematics just to send him this and say few warm words about his attitude...
