Since receiving this monitor (2nd hand) it's had an intermittent horizontal shake. Sometimes it will also shift the screen into a position where I would have to physically readjust the horizontal alignment.

Any ideas?

yes, check diodes and transistor (especially for bad solder joints) in EW correction

This sounds like a poor cap in the line osc.
