Funnies with Smile/KFC CA6748SL/CB6748SL

My monitor has suddenly thrown a bit of a wobbler (details below) after 5 years of solid service - is it time for a new one?

Details of refresh rate and screen size keep popping up in the middle of the screen

Instead of a blank "power save mode" I get white 'tiles' all over the screen which briefly go back to the desktop picture (for a second or so, just a twitch) every 10 minutes.

Very strange problems; could it be just a menu setting? (other than the above, it is still very good - nice sharp, bright picture).

TIA

I have same Smile/KFC CA6748SL/CB6748SL and the same problem. I think that is menu problem. Does somebody knows how to turn on the power save for this monitor. I can only turn something like auto mode (holding both function buttons), but it will turn power save only once. When monitor reach from power save state he is powersave disable. In short, does anyone knows how to turn on power save permanently.
