The flyback in this monitor is a real problem. When it goes bad it doesn't have the capacitance on the high voltage lead like it should. This will either cause not video or video that intermittently turns off and on. Check the flyback capacitance from the high voltage lead to ground. The HOT heat sink is a good ground. It should read about 3.75NF when good. If it reads significately more or less the flyback is bad. You can get good quality flybacks at low cost from:
