Compaq s7500 switches EHT off (i think)

Hi, when i switch on the monitor the screen is too bright en not in focus. flyback lines are visible. After a couple of seconds the eht is switched off and the power on led changes from green to orange.

Any idea's?

It switches off because it is too bright.

You need to find out why it is too bright check G1 G2 & cathode levels.

Which version of the S7500 is it look for compaq extended model numbers like PE???? or CO???? etc.

Hi I do not have info on that one but in general they are;

Cathodes 45 - 70V
G1 approx 115V negative of the cathodes i.e. cathodes at 65V then G1 = -50V
G2 = 400 - 700V
Heaters 6.3V DC
