I have a NEC model LA-1831JMW-BK that wont show anything.The screen is all black,and the green power light is on,then it changes to orange when the screen remains all black.Is this worth taking to a repair place,or is it possible that i fix it myself?Ive looked on google and i cant find any info.Any advice would be gladly appreciated.

This unit suffers from thebacklight inverter failing.

The cure is to replace 8 SMD transistors and upto 4 SMD fuses.

Thanks Richard for the help.I opened up the monitor and im noit sure what to look for.Ive taken a few pics to see if maybe you can guide my to where to look for parts i have to replace.
