Can anyone help identify the burnt component on Viewsonic G790
MODEL: VCDTS21430-2P The burnt component location is ZD306.

If that zenner is at the Power Supply and is close to the KA3842/UC3842, probably it will be between 18V and 24V.
If it is the zenner I'm refering to it will not be important the exact voltage, but you should carfully verify this information. |

I don't know your monitor, but You should look at the other side of the monitor board and check the hint I said.
If you want to repair that monitor without the shematics, you will have to analize it.
Prolbably the senner you are saying is to limit the voltage to the integrated I said, verify it. |
