I bought a used Acer 211c (21") monitor some months back. Up until this week it worked perfectly, but now when I turn on the monitor the horizontal width starts changing at random intervals and after about 10 or 20 minutes of operation it stabilizes at the full width (or at least the rate of change becomes very low, like once every 15 mins or so). But there were one or two instances where it stabilized at a smaller width, in which case I had to leave the monitor off for some time to get it back to the correct size. What could be the problem ? I have no experience in repairing monitors but if the problem is a minor one I might be able to try and fix it, I asked from several ppl who does TV repairs about the problem, but they are not exactly sure what the problem is. Some suggested that it might be a loose connection. Any ideas ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
