It seems that my good old MAG XJ810 monitor is dying.
It's still working, but :
1. From time to time I hear loud clicking noises from the monitor
2. When I boot into Windows and the OS changes video modes the monitor
suddenly turns off. Actually, according to the front panel led it does
not turn off, but there is no picture on the screen. If I turn it off
and on it continues to work OK.
3. There is some weird problem with screen size - from time to time it
sponeneously changes !

Is it the end of it ? Should I start shopping for a new monitor or
is there a way to save this one ?

This I believe is the FBT failing.

10x, but... could you please tell me what FBT is and how expensive would it be to replace it ? Thanks a lot...

FBT = FlyBack Transformer

This is the (usually black) box in back left corner with a thick red lead to the top of the CRT.

You would need to get the part number off the FBT and search for it on google.
