I'm wondering if anyone has ever experianced a problem like this..
I own a Dell P991 19" Flat CRT, wit ha Trinitron Tube.
The monitor is in semi-working condition... I say semi-working because the color-quality is perfect, as is the display. Everything is peachy, no problems at all... Except for one tiny issuewith the setting buttons (brightness, contrast,resize, reset, etc..). They all stopped functioning.... Ok no problem I thought, I can still access most of these settings through my ATI control panel if need be. About two days after I noticed that the buttons stopped working, I started having this problem.
It all starts roughly 5-10 minutes after the unit is initially turned on, the monitor will suddenly flicker and resize itself slightly 3 times. Within the following minute, the Brightness/Contrast window will appear and the monitor will scale down to 0 brightness with the "down" arrow flashing consistently, as if someone is still pushing down the botton. After about 5 minutes it will suddenly turn around, and scale up to 100 brightness.. again with the "up" arrow flashing consistently as if someone was still pressing it. Once its in this position, it just sits there until I power on/off the monitor.
Now I have a 19" KDS that I'm using, so I really dont need a new monitor, but I would really like to get this repaired.
