I'm a total newbie in monitor repair, but I managed to repair my generic electronic stuff in the past sych as CD player, stereo, toys, etc.

In order to remove the mainboard, I have to remove the CRT neck board to safely disconnect the connectors from the mainboard.

I have no idea how to remove the CRT neck board. It's fixed to only one thing: it looks like a light bulb (electron gun ?) I could just pull on it, but I'm afraid to break the light bulb.

This is what I'm trying to do:

If you pull the CRT you won't break that bulb.

Usually it is glued with silicon (the CRT and the PCB) in newer models or in older models by a round piece of metal and a screw.

Thx. Finally, yes, I figured out it was some sort of plug, I fiddled a little with it and pulled gently.
