Hi All,
I just bought a second hand Dell E151FP LCD monitor. The monitor has some start up problem (I bought it know about this as I got it for a low price). The screen blinks for some time (about 2-5 mins) before getting the perfect picture on startup. Once started, there is no problem as such. I guess this is some thing to do with a capcitor which needs to heat up as if I turn off a running computer and restart it, the picture comes instantaneously. Can any one please suggest me what could have gone wrong and whether it is worth repairing it or continuing using it with the same problem.

Does sound like a thermal problem. A can of freeze spray should help isolate the problem quicker.

hello, I also have this monitor in for repair, could you please help us out. I have no plug on the end of the lead, could you please help and tell us which colour leads go to which pins in the plug. I would be greatfull for your help and engineers should be able to help each other. Many thanks..
