I have a Daewoo dp-42sm plasma tv with problems that no one in my area can fix. There are no authorized service centers in TN. I've owned this set for six months now and it only worked for about 2 months. The retailer would not take it back or exchange the set. The set has been to a few repair shops that I paid for and they all seem to have no experience with these units. The last guy said it may be the x-sus pcb board because when that board is connected, the unit has a high pitched squeel from the power supply on start up and then shuts down. When the x-sus pcb board is disconnected, the unit does not power down, but he has no idea what is wrong with board. I'd really like to get my tv-monitor working again. Does anyone know if that the x-sus pcb board has a history of problems or is the power supply the problem? If so, how I can fix this myself? What do I need to replace on my boards. Please let me know what I can do.

We are a Daewoo ASC in NY, and this is a high fail model. So far none of the calls we got wanted us to come out and diagnose or repair after we told them that if still under Warranty - they can have the retailer take it back - which as per Daewoo Service , they are suppose to be able to do.
Since you had a Non-ASC shop work on it, that probably may have voided that agreement.
What you can try, is have the shop who is working on it now, apply to be a Daewoo ASC in hopes they get better support. If they want to know how to do that, you can have them E-Mail me, and I will put them on the right path.
