TARGA Economy 1785A - problem with HOTFebruary 21 2005 at 4:10 PM

| I got TARGA economy 1785A without HOT. I tried to use
BU2520AF and BU508AF, both worked few minutes, then burned.
2SC3883 didn't burn, but both picture and LED is cyclicaly turning on and off. Are theese not equivalent transistors, or is here wrong something else? And what number was the original HOT?

Hi BU2520 is too low a current rating and only suitable upto 50kHz line frequency.
The BU508A and 2SC3883 are both TV types and as such suitable for 15kHz in the line scan position.
You need something like BU2527A or 2SC5244A.
