Hi Rich,

Thanks for your info on the R778. I have replaced the opened resistor but the problem is not solved. The horizontal size is too big with pincushion & adjusting the horizontal size using the OSD menu has NO effect. Any comment & advice on this please.

Hi if you remove the resistor and turn on you should have a narrow picture without width or pin/trap control.

If it is still wide check D704 this is a dual diode.

If it is narrow check C719 by replacement or Q709.

Hi Rich, after removing the resistor the horizontal size is still wide. D704 checked okay. Observed that 2 resistor with sign of overheating & measured their value as follows.
R820 = 1R3
R821 = 1R0
Is this value correct? The color code is not clear. Appreciate if you could send the schematic diagram / service manual to my mailbox.

sir, the monitor remains dark for 5 - 10 minuts some times more, and then slowly comes up with normal picture.where could be the problem. please respond to my mail box .thanking all of you
