SONY CPD-G500, DO NOT HAVE HIGH TENSION, HELP ME PLEASE!!

HELLO FOLKS, I HAVE A SONY MONITOR CPD G-500, WHEN A TURN ON THE POWER, THE LED KEEPS GREEN, AFTER FEW SECONDS BECOME AMBAR. IF SOMEONE KNOWS THIS MONITOR AND TO CAN TO HELP, I THANKS SO MUCH.

Hi check the psu output rail for overshoot it should rise upto 220V DC and the remain at this level but if it goes above 220V then it will shut down.

Try the self test mode power up and press right arrow for more than 2 seconds this should enable colour bars.

HI MY FRIEND RICHARD, THANK YOU FOR THE INFORMATION!! I CHECKED THE TENSION OF 220V AND IT COMES TO 242V AND SO THE MONITOR TURN OFF. I TAKE A LOOK AT POWER SUPLY, BUT I DON`T FOUND ANY COMPONENT WITH DEFECT. CAN YOU HELP ME AGAIN?

Hi I had a few like this but never really found the problem, I checked all electrolytics for ripple etc and diodes I even swapped parts from a working unit to a faulty unit but never found the cause perhaps I should have gone further.

What I did find was that if I put a resistor across Q650 I can not remember the value I started high and worked down (470R) springs to mind I could get the unit to work and regulate properly.

If I left it running for a day or so I could remove the mod and the fault had gone.

This seems to point to a cap problem some where but I never did solve it completely.

HI!! SO I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU BY THE HELP. A PROBLEM IN OTHER BOARD CAN DO THIS DEFECT?
DO YOU HAVE THE ELETRICAL DIAGRAM?
