I purchased an IBM Thinkvision C220P that has a damaged outer casing so I got it for about half price. The picture is very sharp in the center from top to bottom but and stays just as sharp in the top left hand corner. However the right quarter of the screen from top to bottom is slightly blurry but slightly more blurry in the top and bottom right hand corners. I can also not get the color to perfectly match the rest of the screen in the both right corners using the corners adjustment. The bottom left corner is also slightly blurry but the color is good. I'm only talking about a slight amount, not extreme, but it is rather annoying to and I guess the average user would notice it when looking at text in the corners.

My main question is for anyone who has experience with a brand new model. I just want to know if this model normally has slight problems with focus and color in the corners or if the image quality could have been altered when the casing was damaged.

It sounds like the CRT has become damaged in the impact hence the discolouration on one or more corners. Internal convergence adjustment might cure the blurred image in the corners if its a convergence rather than actual focus problem. Does the text show red or blue outlines in the corners or is it just out of focus?

It doesn't look like a convergence problem, it just looks out of focus. Is there an interal focus adustment for just the corners? It very well may be damage to the CRT because the worst corner has the worst crack in that corner on the bezel. But I wanted to know how well the corners normally look on a new one of that model, because all corners except one, look like they're slightly out of focus. I'm considering buying a new one of that model but there isn't any place where I can see one on display to see how well the image quality is in the corners.
